1. I have discovered the best writing snack for fall: See's Candies Pumpkin Spice Lollypops. Delicious, long-lasting, and hands-free eating. My keyboard is thanking me for the lack of crumbs. There I go with the pumpkins again.
2. I'm reading Life As We Knew It and feeling strangely compelled to join Costco, then fill my apartment with bottled water and canned food and those silvery emergency blankets I've always been curious to try. Love it when I get this involved with a story/setting.
3. I am going to try to write 5,000 words this weekend. This is definitely going to involve turning off the Internet.
4. I need new music for all that writing. Any recommendations?
5. Apparently looking at cute things improves your concentration. So I will be staring at photos of baby manatees before writing all of those words.
How was your week? Any big plans for the weekend?

I always get so overwhelmed at Costco (my parents have a membership) - I convince myself I NEED mammoth sized jars of peanut butter and 12 quarts of cooking oil.
Okay, off to stare at baby kitten photos! I like when science backs me up.
I must get these lolly pops. As for music, the new Mumford & Sons album is great. Or you could just listen to Comes and Goes by Greg Laswell on repeat like I do. Have a great weekend!
I'm pumpkin obsessed too. Have you tried the Poptarts yet...I know, too many crumbs.
I looked into those emergency dehydrated meals in a bucket that you can buy online from Costco after reading that book:)
I've added my congrats to Tuesday's announcement. Sorry I missed it!
@Jennifer: No worries, and thanks for the congrats!
What Liz said. All of it. :)
P.S. I'm a pumpkinaholic so you're not alone.
Good luck with your word count this weekend! You can do it!
I'm also obsessed with everything pumpkin. Those lollypops sound awesome!
Those lollipops? NOM NOM NOM So yummy looking!
Oh, I am SO jealous of your writing weekend! I hope you accomplish LOTS
I second Mumford and Sons. Goodness gracious!
LIFE AS WE KNEW IT freaked me out a lot. A lot a lot. Totally know that must-Costco feeling.
I love giving music recommendations! What sort of music do you like? (Also, if you're around this week, I always find that going to CMJ shows is a great way to hear about new bands!)
Okay, definitely checking out Mumford and Sons!
@Sarah: This is the worst week in terms of busy weeknights I've had in ages! So no CMJ shows for me. Sad face. I am one of those "I have eclectic tastes" people, but currently on repeat are Passion Pit, Wilco, Phoenix, Fleetwood Mac, and Steve Martin's banjo group. Seriously.
