Grapefruit soda, GONE GIRL, the Great Lawn grass
Saturday I went out to Fire Island, one of my favorite places on Earth:
A buck wandering around the bay
Point O' Woods near sunset
Sunset on the Great South Bay
Orange soda, GONE GIRL, soft white sand
A final picture should be of a huge mug of coffee, my couch, and GONE GIRL, because that's how I spent all of Sunday. Page-turner is an understatement for that book; it's like literary crack.* I think I finished the second half in two hours; I could not stop reading. I wasn't thrilled with the ending, but I still love the book overall, and it was a riveting reading experience. *This probably goes without saying, but I have no experience with crack so that simile is based on conjecture and what I have learned from television.
How was your weekend? What's the last book you couldn't stop reading?
