| Image doesn't do the cover justice; you have to pick up a copy and remove the jacket to see what's underneath |
3) A stingray is responsible for the best photobomb of all time. I'm not kidding. It will make your day. Please go see it here.
4) Seemingly overnight, Halloween stores have popped up all over my neighborhood. That means it's time to plan for a costume! Any suggestions for a bookish but recognizable one?
5) Next week is Banned Books Week. Are you picking up a banned or challenged book to read?
UPDATE: Finished The Age of Miracles last night, by staying up way past my bedtime. It was worth it; some books are not meant to be finished during a soggy morning commute but in a place where you can sit with the final page and wipe the tears from your eyes. What a great book.

Yay, family! Hope you all have a fun weekend :)
I can't even find updated Halloween event info for where I live - I'm hoping to see some pumpkins outside of businesses at least.
That photo is amazing...thanks for sharing.
Congrats on your writing goals and have fun during your family visit!
You could be a librarian for Halloween...I can see that working for you.
Ahhh, I'm so glad you're enjoying AoM.
I feel like it's a little cult. I can't quite put my finger on why it's just so lovely, but it really, really is. I read it as an ARC and bought it anyway.
Congrats on getting your writing goal set! I'd go for Hermione or maybe Matilda for a bookish character for Halloween, shrug but that's just me. Good luck deciding on a costume!
Have fun with your family this week, Rebecca :-)
Matilda! I love that idea.
AoM was wonderful. I can't stop thinking about it. I'm going to be recommending it to everyone.
I've been Hermione for Halloween for the last few years... An easy, comfortable, cute costume, that's pretty recognizable. :)
I've passed by THE AGE OF MIRACLES in the bookstore a few times now (while admiring the gorgeous cover!) and you're making me regret not purchasing it! Maybe next time...
Haha, that photobomb is classic!
You have me intrigued over this book. I want to know what's hiding underneath!
I need to add Age of Miracles to my list!
I can't believe that photo bomb! Too funny.
