I'm almost done with
So Much Closer, and it is making me wish I could spend the weekend on the High Line. It also reminds me of my beloved
Felicity, which as a teen made me want to grow up and live in NYC. Truth: I applied to work at Dean & Deluca while in grad school, a choice solely informed by that show. In real life there are no Javiers, and it's probably for the best that I never heard back.
What are you spending this weekend's nights reading?

LOL @ Dean & Deluca. I loved that show, though in hindsight, Felicity was sort of a stalker. That's OK, though. All is forgiven because she's adorable.
Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone...FINALLY. I started it at the beach and I seriously could procrastinate all the revising on my agenda and read that instead. But I won't. It shall be my reward! Happy weekend!
Just read the premise for this book, and even without your mention of Felicity, my brain would have gone there. :) I laughed about your little Dean & Deluca story. That sounds like something I probably would have done if I lived somewhere cool like NYC. Nobody writes about Red Deer, Alberta lol. ;)
I was just in the City yesterday debating whether I should do the High Line or not. LOL! Now I guess I'll have to read So Much Closer.
I'm starting THE DIVINERS by Libba Bray, and I just finished and loved loved loved loved (so much that I wrote a blog post on it) SOMETHING LIKE NORMAL by Trish Doller.
Felicity is one of my favorite shows; I still watch it. I also wanted to move to NYC because of it. (Sex and the City only made that desire stronger.)
I'll be packing and driving this weekend. Have fun reading!
This weekend I'm reading Devine Intervention by Martha Brockenbrough. I'm only two chapters in and it is AWESOME so far. I adore the voice.
Happy weekend!
I am finishing LOOKING FOR ALASKA (really enjoying it...) :D
I loved Felicity and since I´m also a Friends + Sex and The City fan, you can imagine how giddy I am when I get to experience the city (plus I don´t know if you know but you can run into people at events :D)
Hope you´re having a great weekend, Rebecca!
Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood. Lovely writing, not quite as hook-y as The Handmaid's Tale, but I'm enjoying it.
THE HANDMAID'S TALE is one of my all-time favorites; I imagine it would be hard to top. Margaret Atwood is such a fantastic writer!
I LOVED Felicity!! I pass by a Dean & Deluca every day on the way to work, and it always makes me think of Felicity (and Javier). :)
