Apartment Therapy had a really cool post last week showing the bedrooms of some famous writers:
Literary Style: 15 Writers' Bedrooms
My favorite, of course, was Hemingway's (both because I adore his writing and because I like the style). I only wish there was a six-toed cat lounging on the bed.
I also like Mary Roach's room and Emily Dickinson's. I won't name names, but some of the others I think would give me nightmares.
In which writers' rooms would you want to spend a night?

Hemingway! *flaps hands like a fangirl* Yes, there definitely needs to be some cats in this pic.
I always thought Hemingway just passed out whereever was handy... or slept standing up or on the floor or something super-manly.
That's hilarious, Crystal? Yeah, where are the strewn mojito glasses. . . .
That bedroom is beautiful, and Crystal's comment cracked me up. :)
I'd love to see where JK Rowling rests her (brilliant) head.
I saw that post last week too! I got to visit Hemingway's house when I was in Key West last year. The whole house was cool, and he has this great writing studio as well. :)
I think my favourite would be Virginia Woolf's (would that be A Room of One's Own perchance???). Dickinson's and Hemingway's rooms are also pretty inviting. Victor Hugo's makes me think of the Red Room in Jane Eyre, and we all know what that did to poor Jane getting locked up in there. Nightmares you say? Definitely.
I'm so jealous, Ghenet! I really want to take a trip to Key West, for the Hemingway House (and because it's Key West). Next year, maybe!
For some reason, Truman Capote's room really creeps me out too, Jaime. But that red room--yikes!
Oh my—Alexander Masters' place would stretch my sanity. It's a mess. Hemmingway's is great. Those windows are fantastic.
Thoreau's is the best. Thanks for the interesting post.
I love this! And I find it very interesting how some of those bedrooms are pretty close to what I expected, like Sylvia Plath and Victor Hugo. Interesting.
It is cool how some really reflected the author's style and content, right? I'd love to see where F. Scott slept.
Hemingway looks like he really had a wonderful time during his stay in this house. His bedroom seems like a hypopnea magnet.
